We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to improve website performance, understand visitor activity, and improve the user experience.
When you select Continue after entering your name and work email, we save those details with your website as a contact in our CRM, even if you do not finish the remaining questions. These contact records follow our contact-data retention policy below and are not deleted when temporary survey credentials expire after 14 days. This does not book a meeting or send a booking confirmation. Once these details are saved, the answers you give to the remaining survey questions are added to that contact record as you go, even if you do not finish. These details are kept separate from optional behavioral analytics and session recordings.
In the Search Monopoly survey, we save fixed-choice answers, the website domain you submit by selecting Continue, and the last question reached as you advance, even if you leave without submitting contact information. A random, short-lived survey-attempt token keeps those answers together; it is not a name, email address, advertising ID, or cross-site identifier. Website paths and query strings are excluded. We do not save contact fields or keystrokes as partial answers. Unsubmitted attempts are removed after 14 days. A last recorded question indicates inactivity, not a confirmed abandonment.
On the Search Monopoly ad landing page, we also count visits, named sections reached, and survey-opening buttons in aggregate, without attaching a survey-attempt or contact identifier. These limited counts help identify where the funnel needs improvement. Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track, and a declined optional analytics choice stop future aggregate counts. They are separate from the survey answers you choose to save while completing the form.
Across our public website, we use behavioral analytics unless you opt out. We use PostHog, hosted in the United States, to understand page visits, navigation, clicks, scrolling, video milestones, form submission attempts and survey progress through heatmaps and masked session recordings. Form fields and personal details are excluded from these recordings. We do not send your name, email, phone number, website, booking links or free-text answers to this analytics service. Private applicant-action pages are excluded.
If you choose “OK” in the analytics notice, ad-funnel milestones are also stored in our CRM. When you successfully submit your contact details through that funnel, that browsing attempt may be linked to your contact record using a random identifier. General website analytics are not copied into our CRM. This helps us understand your journey without sending your contact details to PostHog. Browser activity is not proof of identity, a completed booking or sales qualification.
You can opt out of these analytics at any time through “Analytics preferences” on our public pages. Opting out stops future collection on that browser; it does not automatically erase previously collected records. This tracking also respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Your analytics choice does not prevent form submission or booking and is separate from existing visitor-identification tools, advertising pixels, appointment communications, and tracking associated with research pages and information decks.
You can also stop partial-answer saving and the aggregate funnel counts on this browser. This removes the current unsubmitted survey attempt when its token is available; it does not remove a contact record you deliberately submitted. The survey and booking still work.
6. Website Visitor Identification (RB2B)
We use RB2B, a third-party website visitor identification service, on our website, including our landing and confirmation pages. RB2B helps us understand which businesses visit our website.
When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout. You also have the option to opt out of the collection of your personal data in compliance with GDPR by visiting https://www.rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out.
What is collected: when RB2B runs, it sets cookies on your browser and may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you visit on our website, and when you visit them.
- For visitors in the United States, RB2B may associate this activity with a business profile, such as your name, work email address, job title, LinkedIn profile, and company.
- For visitors outside the United States, RB2B is limited to company-level identification: the company associated with the visit, not you as an individual.
How we use it:
- To understand which companies are interested in our services and which pages they view
- To follow up with relevant information about our services, including by email
- To improve our website and marketing
Consent and legal basis:
- Visitors in the United States: RB2B loads when you visit our website. This Privacy Policy is our notice of that use, and you can opt out at any time using the options below.
- Visitors outside the United States (including the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Canada): RB2B does not load unless you select Accept in our cookie banner. We rely on your consent for this processing. If you select Decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, RB2B does not load.
- We use your approximate country, determined from your IP address by our hosting provider, only to decide whether to ask for your consent. If your country cannot be determined, we ask for consent.
- Your choice is saved on your browser for 12 months. You can change or withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings in our website footer or the button below. Withdrawing consent stops RB2B from loading from your next page load; it does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew.
Opting out: you can decline or withdraw consent with Cookie settings, opt out of RB2B advertising at app.retention.com/optout, or opt out of RB2B data collection under GDPR at rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out. To ask about or request deletion of information connected to visitor identification, contact us at yourfriends@kingmakersearch.com.
Cookie settings7. YouTube API Services
Kingmaker Channel Publisher, our internal publishing tool, uses YouTube API Services to manage the Kingmaker Search YouTube channel. By using any feature of our services that connects to YouTube, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
What we access: when an authorized member of our team signs in with Google and grants access, the tool reads and updates that account's YouTube channel data through the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API, including:
- Basic channel information, such as the channel name and ID
- Video details, such as titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, captions, privacy status and publish schedules
- Video and channel performance statistics, such as views and watch time
How we use it: only to upload and schedule our own videos, edit their details, thumbnails and captions, and review how our own content performs. We do not use YouTube API Services to access the accounts or data of members of the public, and we do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
Storage and sharing: the Google authorization token is stored on a company-controlled device with access limited to our team. Statistics we pull are used for internal reporting and are refreshed or deleted within 30 days. We do not share YouTube API data with third parties, except with service providers that help us operate our business or where required by law. The tool does not place cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device.
Revoking access: anyone who has authorized the tool can revoke its access at any time from the Google security settings page at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. To ask us to delete stored data connected to YouTube API Services, contact us using the details in section 14.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Optional PostHog session recordings are configured for 30-day retention. Unsubmitted partial survey attempts are removed after 14 days. Unlinked lander measurements and other funnel events are removed after 90 days. Scheduled cleanup can take up to an additional day. Other analytics and contact records follow the retention purposes described above. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
